DRY NEEDLING MANUAL THERAPY
(CERT CDNMT®) WORKSHOP
The certification course is a 2-part course that will focus on the cervical, thoracic, upper extremities (CDNMT-1) and lumbar, sacroiliac, lower extremities (CDNMT-2).This introductory course was specifically designed for the annual workshops for the American Academy of Osteopathic Medicine. This introductory course will run the full day on Thursday, April 3 and will be comprised of a combination of evidenced-based presentation for the rationale and safety requirements needed to perform dry needling and manual therapy techniques; and hands-on training in certain dry needling and manual therapy techniques to introduce participants to the benefits of the combination of DN and MT to a progressive exercise program for better patient outcomes.
This workshop qualifies for nine hours of in-person intramuscular instruction to help satisfy newly enacted Washington State Legislature Bill HB 1039 2023-24 requirements!
8a-10a: Lecture on safety mechanisms and proper needling handling and blood-borne pathogen/ needle stick injury risks and safety precautions.
10a-12p DN Cervical & shoulder complex (RTC, Upper Trap Myalgia, Biceps), MT Neck/ shoulder complex - Hands On
12p-12:30p Lunch
12:30p-2:30p DN and Manual Therapy for Knee conditions - Hands On
2:30p-4:30p DN and Manual Therapy for Ankle conditions - Hands ON
4:30p-5:30p Miscellaneous discussion, practice, and wrap up.
